Meet Our Director of Dining
Jeremy Imes, Director of Dining Services
Jeremy’s illustrious culinary career began right down the road a piece, washing dishes at age 15 for the Tack Room, a restaurant widely known for its five-star service, menu offerings and wine pairings. He worked his way to entry level cook there, learning from the best in the business. Now all that’s left of the restaurant is the 30-foot tall boot (doubling as the sign for Vactor Ranch) but Jeremy’s career has flourished ever since. After the Tack Room closed, Jeremy cooked and later became kitchen manager for City Grill, another popular east side establishment. Jeremy next found himself managing the kitchen at the Lodge at Ventana Canyon. After two years there, he accepted the exciting role of sous chef at a new retirement community in Oro Valley called Splendido. After 3.5 years they promoted him to Executive Chef, a role he held for 6.5 years. He left there to open a new retirement community in Green Valley as dining director. He then took a professional break to learn an entirely new business, mortgage brokerage. It was during that break that he received a phone call from The Hacienda at the Canyon. He took the call and the rest is history. Jeremy is enjoying having full rein to create a slate of new menus for our five restaurants from wholesome, fresh ingredients, hire his key managers and set the stage for all the memorable dining experiences to come.
