Erich Border, Executive Chef
As Executive Chef for The Hacienda at the Canyon, Erich is excited about creating mouthwatering menus featuring delicious local ingredients, together with his talented team. It’s a role he’s been formally preparing for since he was just 15. Erich has always had a desire to work with food and was determined to learn as much as possible through every opportunity he has been earned. He began as a busser at local Millie’s Pancake House, and worked up to lead cook. He expanded his knowledge by working as sous chef at such diverse Tucson restaurants as Pastiche Modern Eatery, Gentle Ben’s and Canyon Ranch. Recognized for his passion and dedication wherever he has worked, Erich is driven by his innate desire to please the palates of his customers, always striving to provide an overall dining experience that is above and beyond expectations.
